COVID-19 Community Crisis Response
$0 raised of $60,000 goal
In this Together - helping our community through the COVID-19 crisis
providing critical services to help our community's most vulnerable,
with meal delivery and crisis intervention during this COVID-19 pandemic.
The CMHA Kitchen has long been a community hub for those living with mental illness, providing not just nutritious meals, but meaningful social connection with opportunities to learn life skills and take part in meal preparation.
We prepare and serve more than 9,000 meals per year!
Since March, we have transitioned our Kitchen services from a drop-in program to freezer-ready meal delivery to our participants and community members in need during the pandemic.
Changes we have made to our meal services during the pandemic include:
· serving more meals to more people - more than 100 meals a day!
· using a commercial food provider to avoid local grocery shortages and product quantity limitations
· purchasing take-out containers, additional sanitation supplies and vehicle and gas expenses for delivery
· purchasing kitchen supplies and cookware

Calls to the Crisis Line have dramatically increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Crisis Line is a 24/7 life-line for community members needing crisis intervention and emotional support provided by trained community volunteers and supportive staff.
Last year we answered more than 7,500 calls!
You can help support our COVID response by letting community members know that they are not alone.
Our Crisis Line is available 24/7 at 1.888.353.2273.
Since the pandemic was announced mid-March, The Interior Crisis Line Network experienced a record amount of calls, with nearly one-third due to anxiety about COVID-19.
