Teddy Bear Toss 2020

Children in the Pediatric Department at Royal Inland Hospital are comforted with a stuffed animal to keep them company during their stay. The hospital has been grateful to receive a tremendous amount of stuffies each year, thanks to the Kamloops Blazers Teddy Bear Toss. Annually, hundreds of stuffed animals are brought to the arena by fans and tossed to the ice with hopes that a child will be comforted by their chosen toy.

Because we cannot accept physical items to the hospital this year, the RIH Foundation and Kamloops Blazers hope you will be inspired to make a donation to ensure a young patient who may need a friend during their time spent at RIH, receives one. The Pedatric Department's stuffy inventory is running critically low - please help us reach our goal of $5000 to restock and bring joy to Kamloops and the surrounding area's youngest patients!

The Blazers started the teddy bear toss tradition in 1993-94 and now all 22 teams in the WHL along with minor pro hockey teams host their own teddy bear tosses.

All funds raised will help purchase comfort items for the Pediatric and Emergency Departments at RIH. Thank you for your kindness.

***All donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt issued by the RIH Foundation
